Straw Maze

We took the kids to the Straw Maze for a family activity.  The straw maze is on the corner of 500 South and the Albion Grade.  Their is a maze, a 60 foot slide, rotating swings, straw bales that look like minions, and a 4 wheeler that has bucket carts for a train ride.  The kids LOVED IT!!  The kids got to be the "leaders" in the maze and tried to get us out.  We went in quite a few circles but finally made it out, then it was off to go down the 60 foot slide.

Halloween 2015 Super Heros

This year for Halloween, the kids wanted to be "Super Heros."  Thanks to Aunt Dann for the costumes.  Harlee is Spiderman, Hudson is Captain America, and Cameron is Iron Man.

At the Ward trunk or treat, Bob and Alma dressed up as "Rednecks"  the kids were not sure they wanted to sit with them.  The were a little afraid, especially their teeth.

First Bus Ride for Cameron

Today, mommy helped on the bus route.  This was Cameron's first bus ride, he was very excited.  Head Start asks parents to volunteer to help on the bus route, which consists of:  helping the kids take off coats and backpacks and put in the basket, and also help the kids do up and undo the safety buckles.

Harlee and Hudson are some of the first kids to be picked up and the last one to get dropped off.  They were not quite sure about the bus ride today because it was almost a 2 hour ride instead of the normal hour ride.  We had to meet the bus driver at the school, pickup/return all the kids, then ride the bus back to the school!  It was a long ride, good thing about the afternoon ride is that the kids all usually sleep on the way home.

While we were at the hospital, waiting for Hudson to finish Speech Therapy, Harlee drew a family picture for me.  She is quite the drawer.  Any guesses who is who in the picture??

Cassette tape

I got a bunch of movies for FREE tonight, in the sack was a cassette tape, Harlee wanted to know if "that was a mini movie?"  Poor kids will never know what a cassette tape is or was.  Most of the tapes probably will not even play now.

Cinderella dress

Grandma RoseAnn bought Harlee a dress up Cinderella dress.  She put the dress on and asked, "If these were her boobs?"  It was actually just the fluffy part of the dress!  Where did she pickup on that?!?

Yes Sir/Ma"am

Cameron's new thing lately is calling everyone, "Yes Sir!" When I insist that I am not a "Sir" he then says, "Yes Maam!"  How did he get so sassy?!?  It does make J.C. and I laugh every time he does it though!

Papa Gene spending the night

Last night, Papa Gene stayed the night with us.  Harlee now has the "big" bed that Grandma and Papa sleep in, but she knows that when they come to stay with us she is suppose to sleep in the boys room on the extra bed.  She was determined that Papa Gene sleep in her bed and she was also going to sleep in there.  We finally get her settled in bed, she looks at Papa and asks, "Which Buddy (Her stuffed animals) do you want to sleep with?  I will share with you!"  Papa Gene and Mommy laughed pretty good at that!  I'm glad she was willing to share!

Labor Day

On Labor Day, J.C., and I, Jon and the kids went 4 wheeling at the South Hills.  We rode to the humming bird lookout.  We didn't see any birds, but we had a good ride.  We have not been riding for a long time!

Head start Preschool 1st Day

Harlee and Hudson started Preschool with Head Start today.  They rode the school bus to school, then Cameron and Mommy met the kids at school and spent the day with them.  Mommy was really nervous/excited/scared for the kids.  I have NEVER let them go with someone they do not know!  There teacher Della and Home Visitor have been to our house ONCE!  Anyways, the kids loved it overall, I think.

killing flies

Today, as I was attempting to kill the million flies that were in my house, the kids go get a fly squatter for each of them and try to kill flies as well.  Next thing I hear is, "Do you want to kill flies with me? I've got it figured out and now it's fun to kill flies!"  Harlee had killed a fly and now thought she was a "Pro Fly Killer."

Preschool

Harlee and Hudson got approved to start preschool with Headstart.  They will go Tuesdays and Wednesday from 10am to 2pm.  They are really excited; they get to ride the bus!!  So they will be gone a little longer with the bus ride.  Cameron may get approved as well but we are still waiting for that.  Headstart accepts all 4 year olds first then if there is still room, then 3 year olds get approved.  They start September 8th.

Huson is also doing speech therapy through Cassia Regional Speech Therapy on Thursdays at 2pm. He has a little bit of speech delays.  Hudson has been having speech therapy throughout the summer.  He starts the school session on September 3rd.

We went today, and Huson was tested to see if he qualified for speech and school through the school district.  He does qualify for speech, so that will be Mondays and they also transport the kids to school.

Dentist checkups

Today, all 3 kids had their teeth cleaned and checkups.  While they were getting x-rays taken, the girls working asked Harlee and Hudson if they were twins; Cameron then says, "I'm the other one!"  It was cute and funny.  He has never said that before!

Harlee and Cameron, were free of cavities.  Hudson, however, has 2 cavities that we have to go back to fill, and 2 more they are watching.  Poor boy, i'm thinking we are going to have dental problems with.  Hudson already had one cavity last year I think.  Guess it's time for BETTER BRUSHING!!!

The kids like going to the dentist, as we get ready to leave today, the kids ran to their room to make sure they had their sun glasses.  As the girls clean the kids' teeth, they get to wear sunglasses and have head phones to watch the t.v. above them.  Also, as you wait, there is a big train that runs around the office.  The kids LOVE IT!!

Axel's Angelversary

Today marks the one year mark since you went back to Heaven.  I have been full of emotions!  I truly felt the spirit today at church, during Sacrament meet, we sang, "I need thee every hour", and then in Primary we sang many songs during singing time but the one that stuck out was, "I know my Savior Loves Me."  It is amazing what I need at times!!!  I know that my Baby Axel is with our Savior.  It's hard to believe that it has been ONE YEAR since we have seen and held you.  I feel your presence often, and LOVE that the other kids love and miss their baby brother.  Here is the video that was made last year of our Baby Axel.  Until we meet again baby.  We love and miss you every day!

Axel's 1st Birthday

One year ago at 5:42 a.m. a perfect little baby boy was born, 5 lb 12 oz.

It was a crazy morning, we didn't know what was happening around us!  Happy 1st Birthday in Heaven Baby Axel, we love and miss you each and every day.  I hope you are dancing and having a good ol' party with Chance; make sure you learn "knuckles" from Chance, he has taught all the other kids!!  Hope you got the balloons:)

Axel's Memorial Birthday Party

We celebrated Axel's birthday with J.C., myself, Harlee, Hudson, Cameron, Gma Nette and Papa Merle, Gma RoseAnn and Papa Gene, Aunt Sam, Aunt Dann, Robbie, Richie, Aunt Trisha, Uncle Brian, Trey, Ally, and Grayson.  We went to the cemetery and wrote love notes on balloons and sent them to heaven for you Baby Axel, then came back to the house and had cake.  Hudson went shopping with me the other day and insisted that we get candles for Axel's cake.  He picked out 4 little monsters, which I found a little appropriate since we now have 4 little monsters in our family.

Headstart School

Today Harlee and Hudson received a letter in the mail stating they had been approved to go to the Headstart School Program starting in September.  I will have to decide if I want to drive them every day for 4 days a week; the other option is have them go 2 days a week BUT a bus will come get them and drop them off each day.  Also, we are waiting to see if Cameron will get approved.  The school takes all the 4 year olds first, then if there is open spots left they will accept 3 year olds.  The kids are pretty excited to go to school, and are looking forward to riding the bus.

Emotions

It has almost been one year since our Baby Axel was born.  My emotions are like a roller coaster, every little thing starts the tears.  I miss our baby terribly!!!  Things are not fair sometimes.  I have been thinking about what to do for Axel's birthday and it has been soo hard.  Everytime I start to think about plans, I don't get far because I get too upset and can't handle the sadness!

Gorgeous

While Harlee was getting her allergy shots, the doctor called her "Gorgeous."  Each time he called her "Gorgeous" she would tell him, very sassy like, "I am not gorgeous, that's not what my mom and dad called me, they named me Harlee S Warren!"  The doctor and nurses got a kick out of it, we all had a good chuckle about it.

Harlee Allergy Shots

Harlee has started to get allergy shots to get her body immune to some of the things she is allergic to: horses, cats, dogs, pollens, and crops.  

This process included going to the doctor for 3 consecutive weeks and getting 3 sets of shots at each appointment.  We go to the doctor and Harlee receives one shot in her arm and "special spray" which is anti-inch spray, and then another shot and spray in the other arm.  We then wait 30 minutes, and then another set of shots.  We wait another 30 minutes, and then the 3rd set of shots.  We wait one hour this time, and meet with the doctor somewhere in between times to get a checkup.  We are doing what they call "rush" shots.  Harlee gets 6 shots total in one appointment, poor girl.  

Harlee is currently taken the following medicines for her allergies:  singular, Zyrtec, QVAR nose inhaler, albuteral breathing inhaler, prescription ointment and cerve creme for eczema.  

These allergy shots will eventually cut down on the current medicines she is taking and manage her allergies.  The process is long; it will take 3-5 years and consist of going in once a week for the first year, getting a shot in each arm.  The second year we will move to getting a shot every 2 weeks, and hopefully by the third year we will be able to go in once a month to get a shot.  This is very time consuming, but hopefully the outcome will be worth it.  

I have never started the "blog" thing.  I am going to try.  There are always things that should be written down that the kids are doing or saying, so we will see.  I am not a good writer and don't really like to write papers either.

Today J.C., myself, Harlee, Hudson, Cameron, Gma Nette and Papa Merle went boating on the Snake River and had a lot of fun.  Papa Merle took a turn driving, and dumped Mommy (Steph).  The boat also started smoking due to a leaking gasket; the boating trip was cut short.
